How many Irish musicians can lay claim to performing at Woodstock, touring with Jimi Hendrix and Pink Floyd, playing with Joe Cocker, recording with Patti Labelle, Donovan, Marianne Faithful and Frankie Miller, recording the original Jesus Christ Superstar album or indeed being part of Paul McCartney’s Wings?
Henry McCullough is one of the greatest unsung guitar heroes of the Irish music scene. It was when headlining the Ranelagh Arts Festival in 2006 that old friends Henry and Eamon Carr (Horslips) met up again. Over the next few months the pair began to collaborate on some new songs. Since then Henry went into the studio and recorded Poor Mans Moon the album he believes is his best work to date.
